The product placement in aoa’s ‘like a cat’ mv is honestly iconic. Like, they’re on a mission to steal a diamond where they’re crawling in air vents and bending in sexy inhuman ways to avoid lasers, and then they’re like ‘guys hold on a sec, just gotta finish this level on a mobile game i’m playing’. truly iconic.

I’ve never seen an idol have black hairstyles like cornrows or box braids for elegant comebacks or cute ones, it’s always for when they’re doing more edgy and bad boy/girl crush concepts. Black hairstyles are only seen as a way to look more ‘gangsta’, never as something that can be seen as beautiful and that’s why I hate it when fans say idols taking these hairstyles is because they appreciate black culture, because it is clearly seen only as a way to add ‘street cred’

Frankly I think BTS was really lucky in the sense that they peaked just as some of the biggest boy groups at the time were on hiatus which really allowed them up build their fan base. Of course it’s still like 70% their own hard work and 20% their company and stans. It’s not a bad thing though but I just think it’s unfair to have consistently put down groups who haven’t had the same fortune as them.

It kind of makes me sad how everybody talks about Seungyeon’s dancing abilities but completly forget about Yujin. I know Seungyeon is on another level, but Yujin is never even mentioned!

I think what really makes or breaks a song for me is if the music matches the performers. e.g. seventeen/mamamoo/taemin/hyolyn you can see/feel a vibe that they all match with and it was made for those people. But when groups like twice or pristin v ect try and do a sexy mature concept they can rarely pull it off (not their fault. They’re just not sexy ppl ya know? Their personalities are cute instead). The concept doesn’t match the performers and so it doesn’t work

Jin’s self-composed song was simple, but so sweet. It really touched my heart. (For those wondering, it was made to pay tribute for his pets who passed away).

First it was Pentagon not standing up for E’Dawn.  Then it was iKon not standing up for B.I.  Both of them carried their groups to stardom, and the other members totally betrayed them when they were kicked out for nonsense reasons.  This just goes to show that no matter how close idols appear, many won’t think twice about stabbing you in the back when there’s money on the line.  It’s depressing to know that there are probably a lot more idols I admire who, when put to the test, would put money over morality and loyalty.

i don’t follow twice at all aside from watching their music videos/comeback stages, so maybe she’s completely different normally, but what’s the deal with mina being so stale? she looks like a robot with a fake smile plastered on her face. it seems so unnatural and it really bothers me. she looks completely lifeless. is this intentional and her image or is this just her lack of a personality?

Everyone is always praising Seulgi for her vocals but I don’t like her voice that much. I know she’s very stable live and people say she has good technique, but her tone doesn’t appeal to me, especially in non Red Velvet songs (like her feature on Mark’s song on High School Rapper) because her nasal tone stands out even more.

I don’t know if it’s just me but a fair amount of Stray Kids’ songs, such as My Pace and Miroh. At first I don’t like at all and don’t think I’ll ever like but then after a few listens I’m suddenly find myself loving the song.
