I feel like it’s kind of selfish when non-Eastern Asians want to get involved in Kpop. Like it’s literally Korean-pop meaning based in Korea this meaning attracting fans from around Korea. And honestly it’s already hard enough for Asians to have their space in the music industry. So hard to the point where idols born in the West leave their homelands to come to Korea to do what they love because they can’t even do it in their own country(if you want specifics check Eric Nam’s interview with Time magazine where he goes more into it) also it’s already hard enough for non-Korean Eastern Asians to make it, let alone Non-Asians or other. Also if you want to be a performer/artist/musician so bad, why can’t you do it in your own country? Like why SPECIFICALLY you want to do K-pop?? It makes me want to question people’s attentions. Like are you doing but because you want to be a performer or are you just doing it because you think oppa is going to notice you?
