People need to stop saying Astro is disbanding. I know Fantagio is going through some issues but it’s already been confirmed that the group is not, and they’re going on a Japanese tour soon. It’s doing nothing but spreading false information and scaring people into thinking that they are finished.
I really worry for ASTRO, I am an aroha through and through but I’ve seen male and female groups alike fall into the deep hole of the cute concept. While I adore the concept itself, everyone grows up eventually and I hope that people like Sanha won’t be stuck as ‘babies’ forever. They have so much potential.
I really hope this makes sense, but I love it when I see Eunwoo with the rest of Astro. He does a lot of solo work and it’s clear the public values him so much more than the others. Also, depending on how familiar you are with them, it’s easy to forget that he’s part of a group. I would never expect Eunwoo to act differently around them or anything like that, but seeing them all together and him acting just as dorky as the rest of them makes me feel like no matter how much time he spends away, he’s still a member of Astro. Again, I hope this makes sense as I’m sort of unsure how to put this into words.
To me, Twice, Seventeen, Pristin and Astro are really bringing old school kpop back. I have nothing against BTS or Blackpink, but their music feels to “westernized” – popular in America, sure, but it doesn’t really have that unique kpop feel to it.
There are so many new generation groups that have incredibly choreographies, and it makes me excited to see how they will grow. I’m rooting for NCT, SF9, ASTRO, and Pentagon.
Astro’s Rocky is an incredibly talented dancer who is, dare I say, underrated. There’s something mesmerizing about watching him perform as his movements are so controlled and graceful. He doesn’t attempt to center the attention on himself alone, yet it is easy to tell he is the main dancer from the little things like his spins (smooth from years of ballet). But what really makes him stand out is his love for performance. People are beautiful in their element.
Eunwoo (ASTRO) and Seungjun (KNK) are idols that remind us nobody is perfect. Even if they’re tall, handsome, kind, considerate, talented in languages, and can sing very well, they can still suck at dancing 🙂
