Monster by EXO was one of the first kpop songs I listened to, and prior to listening to EXO, I saw many people making fun of Chanyeol as a rapper. However, I was surprised to find that the part I liked best from Monster was Chanyeol’s. As I explored more of EXO’s music I found that he holds his ground as a rapper just fine. (especially in more recent EXO songs). It’s all a matter of taste at the end of the day. I’m glad I wasn’t swayed by the loud kpop stans and just enjoyed the music.
Baekhyuns singing voice was much deeper and soulful than I would have thought. I was also surprised Lay’s singing voice it was much higher than I thought it would be. Chanyeol also have a super deep voice you wouldn’t expect Because of his boyish looks.
Okay but Chanyeol is so EASY TO LOVE. I MEAN HE IS LITERALLY A TALL BALL OF SUNSHINE. I admire him so much, he’s so talented and yet humble and cute. ALSO, HIS HUGS ARE SO HEART FLUTTERING, HAVE YOU SEEN THE WAY HE WRAPS HIS LIMBS AROUND THE OTHER PERSON, bless :’)
I really like the way that Chanyeol doesn’t worry too much about portraying an ‘idol image’. He’s perfectly happy doing a VLive while scoffing down a Big Mac or making a fool of himself and literally falling to the floor laughing at his own jokes. It’s what makes him so endearing, because he never tries to be perfect or something he’s not.
I loved it when Kai and Chanyeol shot up to start dancing and hyping up Na Haeun during the Melon awards and the rest of EXO followed. It just reminded me why I support them. They were the seniors at the ceremony but they were the first ones to jump up and cheer that little girl on and it just sums them up as a group. EXO have always made me proud to be their fan.
