I think chunghas vocals are kind of downplayed a lot. People say her vocals are weak and aren’t that good but I find her voice is really lovely to listen to and I think her voice is just as good as most main or lead vocals in groups. Chunghas voice is good, it’s just not super powerful and to be honest that’s not that important. Stan talent, stan chungha
“Wow Thing” was by far my favourite female artist song this year; it had it all – female power, the young adult feel to it and the fun, makes-you-want-to-dance element.
I know the girls have very busy schedules (they barely squeezed the music video shooting in), but I still wish they could stay together as some sort of a super unit, where they would continue to perform with their own groups, but also occasionally come together and record more songs like this.
Looking at Chungha now, I feel she was criminally underutilised in I.O.I.
I personally don’t think Chungha should have gone solo. It was a good move on her and her company’s part, seeing how incredibly popular she is- but her voice feels so small to listen to. She doesn’t carry much power in her voice and, at least in my opinion, it makes her songs a little lacklustre to listen to. She also always talks about ioi which leads me to think she might be a bit lonely as a solo artist, and would have been happy in a group of friends like ioi.
Chungha’s freestyles are always dynamic
