Dear LOONA stans (or orbits right?), please do not become the next army or blinks, I get that you guys are excited about LOONA finally debuting and thats great!! But i also saw a post stating that LOONA invented kpop, nay pop. The girls are great and their music is great, but they didn’t invent kpop, nor pop. If you say things like that, you come of as snobbish and rude… LOONA and Orbits really seem fun and enthousiastic, I really hope they can stay that way
Loona are a fascinating subject for me lately. They have brilliant producers, a very sought-after music video director, stunning mvs, and each song is great, even the b-sides are very strong. But this is all predebut, and I keep wondering: will they be able to keep up this track record in debut era and beyond, or will they end up delivering an underwhelming debut album and dwindle in popularity? It’s scary to think about, i love all the members and i hope their careers in Loona go great.
Yves and Olivia Hye’s solo mvs surprised me so much. Their teaser photos where so bright and cutesy which made me think that their mvs were going to be like that as well. But damn, I was so wrong.
I’m genuinely confused by people who say that LOOΠΔs concept is unoriginal. Like what other group had a predebut project where each member was revealed one at a time with a solo album and MV, and in some cases 2 MVs. All of them being very high quality and stylistic, all while exploring different genres. Released 3 subunits, which all had their own MVs. Created an intricate story connecting all of their main MVs together? Created special fan events just to further the development of the groups lore. Commissioned fan artists for official merchandise? Im genuinely curious, go ahead and tell me which groups have gotten that same level of production. Like LOOΠΔ and by extension BBC have created the most unique kpop group I’ve ever seen, and their commitment to that story and fan engagement is so special and well thought out? Just say you don’t like the music/concept, but to call them unoriginal is the biggest lie I’ve ever seen said about them.
I need Kai to perform Kim Lip’s
Idk why but the LOOΠΔ yyxy teasers with Chuu wearing the headband, just remind me so much of like 1970s headband hairstyles. Like she so cute and smiley in those pictures. I know LOOΠΔ 1/3 did like retro 90s stuff, but it would be cool to see them do some ‘retro’ stuff from other decades too, especially after seeing those pictures of yyxy in the dinner and stuff
Loona may not be exceptionally talented as a group, but they are still solid as far as vocals and dance in my opinion. I think that the lore, concept, and visuals are also some of the best. Fans work hard to promote them and Blockberry works hard to create a solid group. Therefore I don’t get why people feel the need to complain their popularity
I like all LOONA units but the best one is undoubtedly Odd Eye Circle. Their title tracks were the best and their album was also very cohesive. All the songs had the same dream pop vibe but they’re not boring or repetitive. Also, all the girls looked amazing!
I wonder if Loona is going to handle their albums the same way Seventeen does: a couple full group songs for promotion on music shows, and then unit songs? It seems like a good way to integrate all the sub-units with the full group debut without running the girls ragged, but they would run the risk of having disjointed albums, with no coherent sound.
i don’t know why people always call 1/3 “loona’s cute unit” when most of their stuff was just classical-influenced ballads. yyxy’s love4eva, the song and choreo, was some of the cutesy-est stuff loona have ever put out, in my opinion. (also, it’s kinda awkward seeing yves doing that aegyo in the choreography.)
