I really like what Mark Lee said in one of 127’s American interviews. He said that although it’s handy and useful to be able for the group to communicate in English, at the end of the day, they’re a Kpop group, and they’re not trying to change or be anything they’re not to please anyone. I thought that was very important for him to say. Even though as a fandom we sometimes like to clown Mark for his entire existence, he’s very smart, and he’s very thoughtful. What he said needs to be heard and understand not just by NCTzens who always want the members speaking in English or to stop doing “weird” concepts, but by other Kpop fans who always want their faves to speak English or make English songs. It’s also refreshing to see a group acknowledge that they love and enjoy being in America but it’s not their main or biggest goal as artists. Especially when it seems like American domination is something a lot of people want for their favourite Korean groups.
It’s annoying when fans make fun of how English speaking members speak. On an IG live, I saw a couple comments that were making fun of how NCT’s Mark says “like” a lot and it must bother him and others to see that sorta thing.
I love everyone in NCT, but Mark was never like, in my top 5 or anything. But I watched the video he uploaded of his 127 tour log, and I was so moved by what he said. I always knew Mark was great, but when watching that video, I felt almost close to tears because he was so genuinely, thoughtful, kind, and most importantly, humble. He has been working so hard for this, he writes every single day, he’d been promoting in several units at a time, he gets bullied by like half the band but he always has a smile on his face. And he always attributes his successes to his parents, God, and his fans. Like I know he won’t ever forget where he came from, and although I don’t know him personally, I’m honestly so proud of him. No matter what the future holds for him, it’ll be bright.
I try and see how Mark from NCT is attractive but lord I really don’t get it. Homeboy out here looking perpetually 14.
People always hate on the rap line of GOT7, but what I believe most of them don’t consider is that none of them have korean as their first language. I don’t want to say their good, in fact I prefer Bambams singing voice over his rapping, but I feel like they’re improving
When Ten interviewed Hendery, for WayV’s ‘get to know us’ series, and when Mark and Lucas did a VLive to prove their friendship, both videos had the same kind of energy. All Ten/Lucas had to do was breathe, and both Mark and Hendery were laughing uncontrollably. It was cute to watch. So now I want to see Mark and Hendery together. I wonder if they’d make each other laugh. They are both the kinds of people who can make any situation seem funnier just because of their reaction to it. It’s cute.
I don’t understand why some NCT fans are always making fun of Mark for having an Android, but then when they see another member with AirPods they’re like “wow so I guess x hates broke people” like what?. I know they’re just jokes, but both AirPods & iPhones are expensive as hell, so hows the fandom collectively make different jokes about both? Mark might be making the most bank in NCT but atleast he knows the value of a dollar & doesn’t buy what he doesn’t need. Though I’m sure most of y’all don’t pay your own phone bill anyways or know how to spend.
I’m not a big shipper, and I know they’re just friends, but anytime I see someone talk about (Kang) Mina or I see her face, in my head I say ‘Oh (Lee) Mark’s girlfriend’ lol I would like to see Mark date someone as cute as him and as sweet as Mina. I’m also glad Mark actually has a friend outside of NCT who’s his own age. I hope many more members will be able to do the same as well.
Got7’s mark has remained pretty quite since they’ve debuted, and I know there are multiple examples of people like this in the Kpop industry but I’m using him since I’ve been into them the longest but that is honestly so comforting as an individual who is more introverted and quite as well. It shows that not everyone trying to be successful in what they do has to do a 180 with their personality and be bubbly or something they fully aren’t. It gives me hope :’)
I don’t get the hype around Mark Lee (nct). He’s a really overrated rapper (even Jeno and Jaemin are better than him), I find his personality low key annoying and it’s not like he’s the best visual in NCT. I don’t hate him, but I guess I kinda resent the fact that he’s the one that SM hypes over while there are a lot more that are deserving
