MIXNINE was pathetic. I felt awful for the trainees and YG just looks like even bigger trash now. Who expects other companies to agree to a 3-year contract? How is that logical at all? It all looked like YG’s attempt to try to gain another explosively popular personality through a survival show so the company could ride off that popularity into the mainstream. They should be focusing on their own artists.
Hyunsuk is such a cute bean. He’s a great rapper and can fit in almost any theme from a song like “Ringa Linga” to a song like “I like it too”, but when he’s with his hyungs he’s such a cute person and has a nice personality. I’m so happy he made it into Mixnine’s top 9.
The thing I love the most about watching The Unit and Mixnine is to see how close the contestants are/have become with each other. I love group interactions and seeing how much free time they also spend with each other and how caring they are towards one another on the shows is very inspiring and heartwarming.
I’m convinced that Wow (Kim Sehyoon) is 99% perfect. He’s an amazing rapper, he has a really nice singing voice, he is a SUPER TALENTED DANCER (just check de Mixnine clips, they speak for themselves) and he has a nice personality.
Yes I was also mad and frustrated when RBW’s Lee Jaejoon ruined the It’s You performance on Mixnine, which made people get eliminated who shouldn’t have been eliminated. As I see it he wasn’t ready to be on the show and he wasn’t mature enough. That being said I was satisfied he was eliminated, cause it would have been terrible if he ruined another performance, but I won’t hate him, and neither should you. I just hope he has learned from his mistakes if he debuts.
I hope the trend for survival shows declines after what happened with mixnine and the unit. Like produce 101 was really big and it produced really good groups, the show itself wasn’t that bad, but both the unit and mixnine are pretty boring to watch. In MIXNINE’s case the editing is horrible, and very clearly favors the boys, which is ironic considering the main PD was on Produce 101 season 1. I think the Unit while good in theory kinda strayed away from it original purpose so it’s not really as helpful as I’d hoped it would be. But even the supposed 3rd season of produce 101 is gonna focus on actors (idk how they’re gonna do that?) but it seems like the last two kinda killed the momentum. If there has to be survival shows I would prefer it to be like an audition program like superstar k or kpop star were, where voting doesn’t play a major role until later in the show process.
When Rubin (mixnine) has blond hair he kinda reminds me of Jae from Day6 with blond hair. But like only when they have blond hair.
Yang Hyun Suk has said lots of bs in Mxinine and JTBC’s editing during the first episodes was horrible. But now that I gave it a chance, I totally love most of the performances. Mos of them are really talented people, I hope the best for all of them
After watching Mixnine, I totally fell in love with the members of A.C.E who are participating. Specially their main vocal. They’re very talented and hopefully they have a really bright future ahead of them
Watching Mixnine just proved to me why I was right about not liking YG. He was so biased to some of the trainees especially the girls that acted sexy or those that had a “YG style” that he ignored some great talent. He also didn’t want to put through people who were in unsuccessful groups because they had debuted but Nu’est has shown that there are people who deserve a second chance. Overall the show is disappointing because of YG’s biases when judging.
