I don’t think all the members of NCT are friends with each other, and honestly, there is nothing wrong with that. I’d seen some people get really emotional at the idea that every SM group isn’t best friends for life with every member of their group, and I really don’t see what the big deal is. NCT, by their own admissions, have said some things that made it clear who they are and are not close to in the group, and it’s reasonable. Two people 6 years apart who don’t live together, aren’t in the same unit, and only in the same room when all the members are together not being tight isn’t a big deal, and is kind of expected. Plus a group with infinite members is bound to have a few groups of people who really don’t bond well. I mean Taeil literally wrote in an interview about his relationship to Renjun as “He is a friend of Winwin”.. like that literally translates to “Idk him, but he’s a friend of a friend”. But they don’t hate each other, and I think that is what some think is being said when others bring up “they’re not all friends”, but it’s not.
I really want Taeyong to dye his hair black again, that was a look
I can’t for the life of me like nct’s song Simon says and that sucks because I absolutely love doyoungs part
I don’t always feel bad for idols who don’t get a lot of screen time/lines, unless I know that being an idol is something that they genuinely wanted and worked hard for. For example, Johnny (NCT). He auditioned for SM because this is something he wanted, and he trained for almost a decade, and was treated like back up dancer #2 until recently. So I do feel bad for him when he’s overlooked or MIA in videos. On the otherhand: Sehun (EXO). SM had to chase him down the street and Sehun later admitted he became an idol not because he had a passion to be an entertainer, but because he wanted to support his family financially. And even though he spent ½ a decade getting shafted by SM, he is still one of the most popular members both domestically and internationally, and he is still making bank, which is what he wanted to do for his family in the first place.
Winwin fans are literally so annoying. I think it’s one of the reasons why I’ve never really liked him; not that I didn’t like him as a person, but his fans are so negative all the time in all the wrong places, that when I see him, I feel negatively. I think it was really weak of them to leave so many negative comments on WayV’s debut MV. All the members worked so hard, and in the BTS videos, Winwin was so happy to be filming. They probably looked on the comments for the first day and saw all the negatively and that is disappointing, especially since the video itself was so good and they all performed well. And that’s not to say that his fans (or people who are mad they didn’t do an original song) can’t be upset, but there’s a time and a place for everything.
It has been almost a year ago, but I’ve seen a post about a rumoured NCT Ballad unit with Taeil, Kun, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Renjun, Haechan, and Chenle and I really hope that it becomes reality, even if it’s just one song as NCT U.
I’m not a big shipper, and I know they’re just friends, but anytime I see someone talk about (Kang) Mina or I see her face, in my head I say ‘Oh (Lee) Mark’s girlfriend’ lol I would like to see Mark date someone as cute as him and as sweet as Mina. I’m also glad Mark actually has a friend outside of NCT who’s his own age. I hope many more members will be able to do the same as well.
NCT conspiracy theories believe NCT 127 was always meant to have 10 members since it’s just the numbers added together. However I don’t believe that’s true. I think SM always wanted to have an odd number of members, and with Winwin in WayV, he wouldn’t even really be allowed to promote with 127 anyways. Jungwoo was the replacement all along. I mean yes, he’ll ‘always be in the group’, but when it’s kind of too risky to even promote with them, and missing out of their first tour, and last album promotions, I don’t feel like he really is. It’s more like he’s only there in spirit/name only.
“Comeback” by NCT is probably the only idol song I’ve listened to in multiple languages that sounded the same in every language. Like obviously the words and the voices aren’t exactly the same, but usually when I listen to a song in Korean then Mandarin, or Japanese, the translation is so jarring from the original. But not with this song; it sounds good in every language. The Chinese version still slaps the hardest though.
AKB48 did great, yet I can‘t see NCT having the same popularity. I wonder why. AKB48 does have a slightly different concept than NCT but still they managed to have over 130 members but NCT will probably stop before they got the 100.
