2018 was really Mark Lee’s year. He participated in EIGHT whole comebacks. Boss, Black On Black, Touch, Go, Yestoday, Regular, We Go Up, and now Simon Says. And he writes all his own raps. I know he’s being worked like a dog, but that kid is unstoppable. He has so much talent and he seems like such a good kid. I’m really happy for him and all his successes and wish nothing but the best for him in the future.
NCT’ s unlimited group strategy isn’t necessarily bad or good. Just like any other group concept, it’s appealing to certain people. There are always going to be people who find the idea of an ever-growing group interesting, so having that concept doesn’t really hinder NCT.
I miss NCT U so much. I’m still open to the whole concept of the group, but that unit was legendary for me, especially in musical terms
I think the most surprising thing to me upon joining the NCT fandom recently, is seeing how many people thirst after Jeno and Jaemin. Like they’re barely out of high school.. then again, a lot of NCT fans are young. But I doubt everyone who thirsts after them are their age. I even watched a YT video where someone used Jaemin as the thumbnail despite the fact that he’s not in it, because they knew the “thirsty noonas” would watch it lmfao
nct taeil’s vocals shake me to the core. i didn’t think he would perform that high note in simon says live for their comeback stage but boy was i wrong and holy shit was it impressive.
I’m sad that Winwin won’t be promoting with 127 for these promotions, and i wish SM had scheduled everything better so his activities wouldn’t clash. But I’m super excited for NCT China, I’ve been waiting for them since they were announced and I’m really eager to see their debut.
In some photos Saskia Gregson-Williams kinda looks like Jungwoo.
Vocally, I think Taeil is up there with Chen and DO. I’d like to hear more from him, especially in a non ballad setting because I lowkey hate ballads. But all of NCTs upbeat songs are rap heavy, and even the ones that aren’t only see Taeil with a line or two (like Touch).
I love NCT, but NCT 127 is always a hit or miss for me. I find their sound to be more experimental than the other two subunits. That being said, one thing for sure is that NCT 127 is not like any other run of the mill Kpop group. They’re really out here doing concepts and styles that no one else is doing. And although it may look weird or dumb to some (even sometimes to me) I’m glad they’re not trying to make music that’s mainstream for the sake of it. They are truly living up to their name of Neo Culture Technology.
“Bless Me Achoo” is probably my new favorite SM English line coming before “Shawty imma party till the sun down"
