I don’t get the idea that you have to like every song a group makes or you’re not a good enough fan. This applies to most groups but really I mean Red Velvet. I liked Zimzalabim, many people didn’t. I keep seeing comments saying that you should like it because it’s weird and unique and you should expect that from RV. Just because something is unique doesn’t make it good, and you don’t have to like everything they put out, it just comes with the territory of having multiple concepts.
I don’t get the critique about some idols lacking stage presence. I always enjoy watching Red Velvet performances (who I’ve seen criticised so often). Is stage presence subjective? Also, how is it that the idols who are “called out” on their lack of stage presence are always female (Red Velvet, Twice, (G)I-DLE, etc.)? I rarely see boy groups being criticised for a lack of stage presence.
Y’all don’t wanna hear it but I’m gonna say it: I LOVED the outfits for zimzalabim. They were a mess, made NO sense, and were literally just thrown on them. Fashion threw up on them and I lived for it; the nonsense outfits in kpop are one of the things that make it unique
