It’s funny how people are always arguing which girl group, between blackpink and twice, is number one but the real tea is “the number one girl group” title is between red velvet and blackpink. The 3rd place is between twice and gfriend. Especially after the horrible releases such as What is love and Dance the night away…
It’s so obvious EXO try to be the great seniors to Red Velvet and more apparently, NCT that all of their seniors have always been to them. As much as I hate to assume I know a thing about what actually goes on with the idols, SM family warms my heart more than anything that I’ve come across while stanning K-pop.
I’m disappointed with SM’s lightstick except for exo’s. NCT, SHINee, and Red Velvet all have the similar concept except the top is different. at least give them a different base. not to mention the casing is the same.
The MVs for View, Love Me Right and Ice Cream Cake are three of SM’s most well made, aethetically pleasing and public-friendly MVs. To add to that, these songs are, in general, instantly likeable unlike SM’s usual thing where it takes a few listens before the song grows on you. I really like all of SM’s releases from 2015 to be honest. They were all pretty successful too (Call Me Baby still holds the record for most music show wins), so I’m guessing this isn’t all that of an unpopular opinion.
Red velvet is the one that truly deserve titles like “Asia’s no.1 girl group” or “nations girl group” because they’re the only girl group that’s actually talented and all-rounder. They have everything and more. Vocals, dancing, stage presence, public relevance, digitals, physicals, concerts, interesting concepts and visuals. They’re also the only girl group that are successful even individually.
