I feel bad for all the american k-pop idols who leave the k-pop industry to try and make a career in america, only to become complete nobodies only k-pop fans care about. They go from being A-listers in Korea to completely insignificant in america. Tifanny is a good example of this.
I loved seeing Tiffany’s Vogue youtube video, she’s so stunning and funny!!
I’m really not fond of Tiffany’s solo songs. She has a pretty voice but the songs are just tacky. The only solo song of hers I like is ‘I Just Wanna Dance’.
Tiffany Young’s Over My Skin is such a bop, it’s a shame it didn’t do that well. Hopefully with her next comeback she’ll get more attention, she deserves it, especially if she keeps up with this quality <3
Looking at the difference in situations between Tiffany and CL, really shows you how much more established SNSD was. I don’t mean this in that CL is less capable than Tiffany, I just think, that Tiffany is better at making connections. The connections CL has are based on the ones YG got her, and even though everything should be ready for her album release she’s now stuck because of YG. Whereas Tiffany really had her career develop and was able to make important connections on her own, so that when she left SM, she was able to release her solo stuff relatively quickly (Even if I don’t think it really did that well) It’s a shame either way, but I hope they’re both able to find success despite the differences in their situations
I don’t like Tiffany’s song “Over My Skin,” but the message and concept of the MV are great.
Tiffany’s new song wasn’t interesting to me at all but I’m supporting her because I want her to show SM what they lost
Tiffany’s new song Over My Skin sounds very 2000s Britney Spears-ish. The only parts of the song that I’m not a fan of is when she scats (for anyone unfamiliar with the term in a musical sense, it’s a style of jazz singing that involves nonsense syllables, like dubidubidu) but otherwise it’s good, even if it does sound outdated.
